THE HOTEL
Resulting from the merger of two ranches the Hotel has maintained the historic and rustic atmosphere of its old buildings but it has added comfort and sophistication so that Maraú can receive tourists from all over Brazil and the world. There are 150 hectares of land stretching from one side to the other of the Maraú’s peninsula, from the sea to the mangroves. It is on this biodiversity strip of land with its natural beauty beach, lagoon, palm grove, dendê oil palms, native vegetation and mangroves that the Terraços Marinhos Hotel is located.
Marau Peninsula
The Terraços Marinhos Hotel is located on the central coast of Maraú’s Peninsula on a strip of land between the sea and the Cassange’s lagoon and it is only about 13 km away from the charming village of Barra Grande and 10 km from the Natural Pools of Taipú de Fora beach.
Peninsula of Maraú: 145 km north of Ilhéus, bordered on one side by the Atlantic Ocean and the other by the waters of the Camau’s bay, the third largest in Brazil.

PARADISE
On a very privilege spot facing the ocean and with the Cassange’s lagoon on its backyard, the Hotel is located in an Environmental Protection Area where turtles lay their eggs practically on our doorstep, and, if you are lucky, you can watch the ballet of the dolphins and humpback whales as they cruise the oceans.
Aware of its social and environmental role the Terraços Marinhos employs local people, uses solar heating, sanitation system with reuse of water for irrigation porpoises. We also plant regional trees and grow our own organic vegetable garden.
